The award show was hosted by Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, GA.
The 2010 Soul Train Music Awards aired Sunday night on BET with a show-opening performance by R. Kelly, who sang hits and paid tribute to Anita Baker and Ron Isley.
Kelly sang hit classics such as “Bump N’ Grind,” “Your Body is Callin,” “When a Woman’s Fed Up,” “Happy People,” and “When a Woman Loves.” It was good to see Kelly give a good performance
The big winners at the show were Alicia Keys, who won Record of the Year for “Unthinkable,” Usher, who won Album of the Year for Raymond vs. Raymond, and B.O.B, who received Song of the Year for “Nothin’ on You.”
Trey Songz and Usher tied for Best Male R&B/Soul Artist. Best Female Artist went to Alicia Keys, and Melanie Fiona won Best New Artist.
A hilarious part of the show was when CNN’s Wolf Blitzer was on stage and did his rendition of the “dougie” dance that got everyone on their feet.
